A house is one of the only products we build to last 30, 50, even 100 years. The technology inside it doesn't. The thermostat on the wall today will likely be replaced two or three times before the walls around it ever move.
Most new homes are still designed around whatever devices happen to be available at move-in — a smart lock here, a video doorbell there — with no real plan for what comes next. When the next wave of technology arrives — EV charging, home batteries, edge-AI compute, home robotics — the house has to be cut open to receive it.
OAH Studio's answer is to treat infrastructure as part of the architecture itself: the conduit, the panel capacity, the data backbone, the physical space built to hold equipment that doesn't exist yet. Not a prediction of which devices win. A guarantee that the house can take them when they do.
